ASH DOWEL WOOD
In accordance to size and product criteria requested by our customers, we saw logs into a wide range of sizes and dimensions, several different products may be sawed from a single log. Through our expertise and experience we are able to utilise the timber to ensure it is flexible without breaking or damaging.
PROCESS OF ASH DOWEL PRODUCTION
These are carefully treated to fulfill with customer's requirements for a variety of finished products such as tool handles, sporting goods, musical instruments, furniture, cabinets, flooring and other specialities.
DOWELS & SQUARES

Logs are debarked

Conveyed to a cross cut saw which cuts the log down into small bolts made to the customers requested size

The bolts are conveyed to the band head saw which saw them into boards

The boards are conveyed to a gang rip saw

Squares are conveyed to a dowel feeder which feeds them into a dowel machine

The flaws are removed into primary production of if defective are used ad a by product if customer requests for such defective products

The defective dowels are stacked onto pallets

Completed pallets are accumulated until kiln load is ready to dry

Drying takes 7-14 dependent on stacking pattern
